Peacock Wedding Inspiration
Few wedding color palettes are as colorful and vivacious as peacock. Tastefully spanning the color wheel to incorporate shades of blues, greens, and purples, peacock is a color palette that emanates sophistication; however, it’s also a playful color. Brides and wedding planners alike love to not only elaborately decorate their tables with turquoise, green, and purple tablecloths, but they also love to incorporate actual (or synthetic) peacock feathers in their decor. Peacock feathers represent an alluring mystique that translates very well to wedding decor and bridal wear.
Designing tablescapes based on a peacock color palette presents a bride or wedding planner with design options that are practically limitless. There are so many different colors in a peacock color palette, so there’s great potential to mix and match colors based on your personal preferences. Try starting with a turquoise or caribbean tablecloth and then provide contrast with a purple table runner if you’re using rectangular tables. If you’re using a round or square tables, a purple or eggplant table overlay would also look great. For a centerpiece, a vase filled with a few lengthy peacock feathers will do the trick, and adding flowers to the mix would look marvelous as well.
Remember, the sky’s the limit when planning a peacock wedding, so have fun! Groomsmen and bridesmaids can wear either matching or differing colors–with a peacock color palette, more is better!
