The Christmas Tree Napkin Fold

We recently created a few new Tablescapes to celebrate the holiday season, and found ourselves searching the web for inspiration. One thing we found is a must-have on your Christmas Tablescape: The Christmas Tree Napkin Fold. It’s adorable, so simple, and guaranteed to impress your guests this season!

The best part about this fold is that it’s so easy, but looks like you spent a lot of time (and several napkins) making it! It will take you 2 minutes max.

This step-by-step was adapted from Handimania’s guide. This tutorial requires a Square Napkin, probably at least 12 inches for great results.

To begin, fold the napkin in half. Easy enough!

Fold it in half again to make a square.

Slide the square around so it’s a diamond shape, making sure the open ends are closest to you. Take the top layer and fold it up, leaving about an inch (depends on your napkin size) from the top peak.

Repeat this step 3 more times, so all layers are folded up.

Take the napkin and flip it over. Hold on to the folds so they don’t come undone! Take the lower corner and fold it up to the top.

Fold the other corner up, so it lays on top of the previous fold. You should have a tall diamond-shape.

Flip the whole thing over again, this time flipping it upside down. This is what it should look like.

Take the top layer and tuck the bottom corner under.

Repeat this step with the other 3 layers. Voila! The Christmas Tree napkin fold. All you need is a sparkly gold star for the top and you’re good to go.

It’s so cute, nobody will want to unfold it!

Did you try this? Happy Holidays!
