Most of the spaces have a capacity for 300 guests so your guests are sure to be comfortable. You are given the freedom to set up your ceremony and reception anywhere on the grounds that you desire. They also stay open as late as 2 am to let you keep the party going!
We visited Grey Gables Estate in February of 2017 for a luxurious winter photoshoot. We designed a beautiful champagne and burgundy themed wedding held in the grand Ballroom.
For the main tables, we chose extravagant shantung silk tablecloths in a gorgeous shade of champagne. From there we accented the tables with burgundy organza acting as a table runner. Romantic wood stove style lanterns sit atop the organza. We filled the lanterns with cream and blush flowers instead of candles to liven the look of the centerpiece. Gold and white charger plates hold the china in place. Each place setting is topped off with a simply wrapped burgundy napkin secured by a lovely peony napkin ring.
Our sweetheart table features a burgundy silk tablecloth adorned with a just married sign on the front. Candle holders and a large flower filled centerpiece keep the table minimalistic. Mr. and Mrs. signs on the chairs add an adorable touch. We kept this table rather simple so that the couple can look out at their guests without any decor obstructing their view. Guests can also see the happy couple easily this way!
Next is the simple and sweet cake table covered in peonies. We layered an ivory crinkle taffeta tablecloth over a black polyester tablecloth and tied a ribbon bow around the ivory tablecloth to give a further contrast between the two layers. The effect is stunning!
Our escort cards played double duty as they were our guest favors as well. Beautifully hand-written cards let each guest know their table number. The champagne flutes are theirs to keep as a souvenir of the big day.
The final table was our favorite feature of the day. We created a make your own petal toss table displaying rose petals and paper cones to be filled and thrown at the couple as they walk down the aisle after saying, “I do.” Ribbon wands are waved as the couple makes their grand exit from the ceremony.
