March 2019 Mood Board

Time again for another Mood Board breakdown!  Find out how you can replicate our March Mood Board using the products below.

Linen

Hate ironing?  Crinkle Taffeta is a wondrous fabric which is made to have an elegant pattern of wrinkles throughout.  Stuff your tablecloths, overlays, or runners into box and when you pull it out, it’ll look brand new. We used a 108 in. Crinkle Taffeta in Charcoal on a 48 in. round table for this tablescape.

Use Shantung Silk napkins if you like the rich color in opposition to the charcoal tablecloth.  Shantung features a slight sheen in addition to having a textured, rib weave feel to them. 18 in. Shantung Silk Napkins in Purple are seen underneath our custom menus.  The napkin fold is quite simple. Fold the napkin in half hot dog style, and then in half again pulling the left side over the right. Your crease should be at the top. Ironing the napkin also helps it to stay flat and in the desired fold.

Accessories

The dark, moody palette is offset by the many lit candles as points of romantic light.  Tealights were placed in four 5 in. Square Glass Votives Clear. Four small candles were also lit inside our black lantern.  While this specific lantern is no longer available on LinenTablecloth, you can browse our wide variety of lanterns here.

All of the flowers used were purple, but by mixing the shades and flower types you can create a more complex palette.  8 in. Artificial Sedum Flowers, 10 in. Mauve Silk Peonies, and 11 in. Dusty Pink Silk Roses were blended to create pops of color all around our lantern.  26 in. Lavender Silk Cornish Lily Sprays were used not only in the centerpiece, but also on the plates as additional accents.

Serveware

Since the flowers and napkins are such a rich purple, we wanted a simpler, darker plate to go along with the tablecloth.  13 in. Metallic Brushed Charger Plates in Silver give another layer to the table. The silver paint adds a bright point to the tablecloth underneath without drawing away from the purple accents on top of it.

Brandy glasses were placed between the charger and knife as is the standard with glassware.  Feel free to branch out and use whatever glasses you like. In this March Mood Board, we preferred the brandy glasses because of  their short height.

5-Piece Basic Curved Silverware Set Silver were used to compliment the silver in the chargers.

Mix up the palette colors as well as flowers, to create a completely new tablescape for any season!  Send us pictures of your March Mood Board replication and you may be featured on our social media sites. Pictures can be sent to support@linentablecloth.com.
