Taco Tuesday Anyone?

Who doesn’t love tacos?  They’re easy to make, delicious, and, depending on how you make them, a fairly healthy meal option. Taco Tuesdays have become legend.  If you’re looking for a cool way to dress up your tables and include some mouthwatering tacos, check out our take on Taco Tuesday to find out how you can create your own!

You’ll see that our palette reflected, well, tacos. While we were aiming for Taco Tuesday, this table can also be used for Cinco de Mayo or Taco Day on October 4th! For the tortilla, or table base, we used a 108 in. Round Polyester Tablecloth in Beige.  A 14 x 108 in. Satin Table Runner in Chocolate was placed on top of it.

Compared to the table linen, our napkins were quite bright.  We were going for the embellishments like lettuce and tomatoes.  Feel free to tone down the taco’s element and choose lighter, more natural colors.  These napkins are 20 in. Polyester Napkins in Red with a Green Acrylic Napkin Ring holding the fold shape.

Unfortunately, LinenTablecloth does not sell cacti.  You can usually pick them up at your local nursery or department store though year round. Use them as a centerpiece and afterwards you’ll have a fun plant for home or the office!  To raise our centerpiece we put stacks of small saucers turned upside down under our tablecloth. Check out our blog post on creating impromptu stands and risers. You can find it by clicking here.

Since eating tacos with your hands is not recommended, you won’t find any silverware here. Instead we have a copper charger under a curved rectangular dinner plate.  While not necessary, adding chargers under the dinner plates will help catch any taco droppings. This way you can reuse or linen or send back your rental unblemished.

All that’s left is to add your tacos!  Send us pictures of your creations on Facebook or browse our Pinterest for more tablescape inspiration.
